It's only taken 3 years, but we're finally doing an exhibition! We've joined forces with photon boy twinky-z to produce a neat set of photos. We'd psyched ourselves up for guerrilla exhibition then out of nowhere we were offered some space. w00t for us. There are even a some 30x20in prints for sale if you care to own a lil piece of me.

Night and Urban Photography

This photographic exhibition at Manfred's in Fortitude Valley, Thursday 22nd June 2006, documents the night-time wanderings of two Brisbane photographers. From scaling the urban Everests to crawling lower than the worms bother digging, they've produced a collection of startling images created in the places most dare not tread.

Over the past few years they have travelled around Australia, and ocassionally the world, to document the forgotten spaces lurking within the urban environment. They play in derelict industrial wastelands and paddle through flooded tunnels to capture a potent mix of colour, texture and shadow. It's an infusion of life into the darkened corners that often go unnoticed.  

The Low Down
When: From 7pm, Thursday 22nd June 2006.
Where: Manfred's Bar, Brunswick Street Mall Fortitude Valley.
What: Tunnels, drains, rooftops, abandoned buildings and catacombs for your viewing pleasure.
